Today's Scenario: - WTI crude oil is maintaining a defensive stance near $71.40 after starting the week on a positive note, gradually rising following a period of decline. This cautious behavior is reflective of the market's sentiment amid a mixture of factors from the energy industry and concerns ahead of key data and events.
Despite the negative reports from the US Energy Information Administration on Monday, which typically have a downward impact on the price of WTI crude oil, bears have failed to exert significant pressure. This can be attributed to fears surrounding potential supply disruptions due to geopolitical tensions and the ongoing supply cuts by OPEC+.
Additionally, the pullback in the US Dollar has provided some support to the price of crude oil, contributing to its strength amidst a climate of cautious optimism.
Buy Scenario: - Currently, the price of WTI crude oil is up 0.86% at $70.63 per barrel. It is approaching the next resistance level at $73.83, which was the weekly high on May 10. If this resistance is surpassed, the next levels to watch are $76.92, which was the high on April 28, and $79.14, the weekly high on April 24. Till we do not advise to buy in WTI US oil.
Selling Scenario: - On the downside, if the price breaks below the support level at $63.97, it could open the door to further declines. The next support levels to monitor are $64.41, which was the low on March 20, 2023, and $61.76, the monthly low on August 23, 2021. Till we did not advise to sell WTI Crude oil.
