Today's Scenario: - USD/JPY has surged by 100 pips to reach 134.45 in early Friday trading, following the Bank of Japan's (BoJ) decision to maintain its current monetary policy. While the central bank's decision was largely in line with market expectations, a change in the forward guidance seems to have spurred the currency pair higher.
The BoJ left benchmark interest rates unchanged at -0.10% and defended the 0.50% band of the Yield Curve Control (YCC), as anticipated. However, the BoJ also stated that it would not hesitate to take additional easing measures as needed while working to ensure market stability, which has recently driven up USD/JPY prices.

Buy Scenario: - To continue its upward momentum, the USD/JPY pair must stay above the pivot level at 133.787 and aim for the First Major Resistance Level (R1) at 134.378. A breach of the high reached on Thursday at 134.198 would confirm a bullish outlook for the USD/JPY pair, but it also depends on support from the Bank of Japan and US economic data to sustain the breakout.
If the pair manages to break above the R1 level, the next target for bulls would be the Second Major Resistance Level (R2) at 134.788. The Third Major Resistance Level (R3) is located at 135.789. Till we did not advise to buy in USD/JPY.

Sell Scenario: - However, if the pair falls below the pivot level, it could potentially test the First Major Support Level (S1) at 133.377. Unless there is a significant sell-off of the dollar, the USD/JPY pair is expected to avoid breaking below 133 and the Second Major Support Level (S2) at 132.786. The Third Major Support Level (S3) is located at 131.785. Till we did not advise to sell the position in USD/JPY.

Support and Resistance Level: -
SupportResistance
S1 133.37-R1 134.36
S2 132.80-R2 134.77
S3 132.39-R3 135.34
