Today's Scenario: - The USD/CHF pair initially climbed to a daily high of 0.8987 but later reversed its course and moved lower. The weakness in the US Dollar, coupled with disappointing US economic data, contributed to the decline. Furthermore, expectations of a more assertive stance from the Swiss National Bank (SNB) provided support to the Swiss Franc (CHF). As of now, the USD/CHF pair is trading at 0.8944, reflecting a 0.40% decrease.
Buy Scenario: - On the other hand, if the USD/CHF pair manages to break above the first resistance level at the 0.9000 psychological level, it could potentially target the 50-day EMA at 0.9033, followed by the 100-day EMA at 0.9155. Till we do not advise to buy USD/CHF.
Sell Scenario: - The USD/CHF pair currently shows a downward bias, but it is testing a strong support level. If this support level holds, it could potentially lead to further upside movement. However, it's important to note that the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator is at 48.19, indicating a bearish sentiment as sellers remain in control. Additionally, the 3-day Rate of Change (RoC) is still above zero but is showing signs of turning bearish.
In the event that the USD/CHF pair continues to decline below the 20-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at 0.8942, the next support level to watch for would be at 0.8900. If this support level is broken, it could expose the May 10 daily low of 0.8868, followed by the year-to-date (YTD) low of 0.8879. Till we do not advise to sell USD/CHF.
