Today's Scenario: - USD/CHF remains under pressure near 0.8830 early on Thursday, following a drop to levels last seen in early 2021 due to the dovish rate hike by the Federal Reserve (Fed). The currency pair, which is sensitive to risk sentiment, is also affected by concerns about a possible US default and banking crises. As a result, the Swiss Franc (CHF) pair has experienced a three-day decline near multi-month lows following the largest daily drop in nearly seven weeks.
The Fed raised its benchmark rate by 0.25%, in line with market expectations, bringing it to its highest level since 2007. Policymakers, including Chairman Jerome Powell, appeared optimistic, dismissing fears of a banking crisis. However, the statement indicating the need for further rate hikes received significant attention and weighed on the US Dollar despite the hawkish move.

Buy Scenario: - In the buying side of USD/CHF, if there is a confident move above the psychological resistance level of 0.9000, the US Dollar bulls may drive the pair towards the April 7 low and high at 0.9034 and 0.9082, respectively. Till we do not advise to buy USD/CHF.

Sell Scenario: - The USD/CHF pair is currently declining towards a crucial support level that was established on January 8, 2021, at 0.8758. On a weekly scale, the supply area for US Dollar bulls is situated within the 0.8984-0.9000 range. Additionally, the 10-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at 0.9041 is acting as a consistent barrier for the US Dollar bulls.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) (14) is oscillating within the bearish range of 20.00-40.00, indicating that the downside momentum is very strong.
If the pair breaks below the intraday low at 0.8820, it could continue to fall towards the January 1, 2021 low at 0.8794, followed by the January 2021 low at 0.8758. Till we do not advise to sell USD/CHF.
