Sveriges Riksbank is the central bank of Sweden. It was established in 1668 and is the world's oldest central bank. The Riksbank is independent of the Swedish government, but is required to report to the Riksdag, the country's parliament. The Riksbank is governed by a board of six members, including a governor, who are appointed by the Riksdag.
