The Sudanese dinar (SDD) was the currency of Sudan until 2007, when it was replaced by the Sudanese pound (SDG). The dinar was introduced in 1992, replacing the Sudanese pound at a rate of 1 dinar = 10 pounds. The Central Bank of Sudan was responsible for issuing the currency. Each dinar was divided into 100 piasters. The value of the dinar fluctuated due to economic conditions in Sudan. However, it is no longer in circulation and it's not legal tender anymore.
