A Registered Representative (RR) is a professional who is licensed to sell securities and other financial products to the public on behalf of a brokerage firm or financial institution. In order to become a registered representative, an individual must pass a series of exams and meet certain educational and professional requirements set by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and other regulatory bodies.Registered representatives are also known as stockbrokers, financial advisors, or securities agents. They are responsible for working with clients to assess their financial needs and goals, and for recommending and selling appropriate financial products, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and insurance policies. They may also be responsible for managing their clients' investment portfolios, providing ongoing financial advice and counsel, and keeping their clients informed about market conditions and other relevant information.
