Fractal Indicator
-
The first parameter is the mean deviation, which divides all of the historical prices into thirds, ranging from small to large values. -
The second parameter is called median deviation and takes the difference between two percentiles (usually 95% and 5%) which represents 50% and low point of the price range for a given period. -
The third parameter represents quartile deviation which divides all prices into four different subgroups: 1st quartile - lowest 25% 2nd quartile - middle 75% 3rd quartile - highest 25% 4th quartile – middle 50%. Those four groups give 24 possible combinations for each price.
