The European Free Trade Association is a dedicated partner for EU-EFTA cooperation. Its primary objective is to promote the interests of its members in the framework of global trade relations, economic and sectoral dialogue, as well as broader cooperation with third countries.The EFTA is a free trade association established in 1960 by the outer seven countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which are all located on the Scandinavian peninsula. Together, these four countries cover a vast area from the North Atlantic to the Russian border in Central Europe. The EFTA countries have a combined population of about 5 million people and a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of over €600 billion.
