A "Call" is commonly used for two purposes: call option and call auction.A call option is a valuable tool for investors because it allows them to speculate on the future price of an asset while limiting their risk. For example, if an investor believes that the price of a stock will increase in the future, they can purchase a call option to buy the stock at today's price. If the stock does not increase in value, then the investor only loses what they paid for the call option.A call auction is beneficial to investors because it provides liquidity and decreases volatility. Liquidity refers to how easily an asset can be bought or sold without affecting its price. Volatility refers to how much an asset's price changes over time. When there is more liquidity and less volatility, investors are able to trade assets more easily which leads to better prices discovery (the process of finding out what assets are worth).
