It's important to be realistic when creating a Budget, so don't include items that you know you won't be able to afford. Be sure to attach a monetary amount to each line item in your budget so that you can stay on track throughout the year. "A good way to start creating a budget is by making a list of all your monthly expenses". This includes both fixed expenses like rent or mortgage payments, and variable expenses like groceries or entertainment costs. Once you have this list, add up how much money you spend each month on these items. If this number exceeds your monthly income, then you'll need to find ways reduce your spending . One way to do this is by looking for cheaper alternatives for some of your regular expenses.
