Metaquotes, a company that develops trading software for financial markets, posted a message on their website that Apple had removed Metaquotes' Metatrader 4 (MT4) and Metatrader 5 (MT5) from the Apple App Store. When following the link from Metaquotes to download the app from the App Store, users now see a message that "This app is unavailable."

Apple has allowed other apps that allow trading and investing in global equities and other securities, such as Robinhood, E-Trade, Acorns, Stash and Wealthfront to remain on the Apple App Store.

Metaquotes is asking Apple directly why their software was removed from the store.

In reality, nothing has changed on Metaquotes’ side. The app is still available on Android and Windows platforms and is available to download directly from MetaQuotes’ website.

What's going on here? Well, it could be due to Apple's recent crackdown on cryptocurrency exchanges, developers, and ICOs. Although there's been no word from Apple that they're at all concerned with MT5 or MT4.

Investors are in an uproar as Apple has removed Metaquotes' Metatrader 4 (MT4) and Metatrader 5 (MT5) from the Apple App Store. When following the link from Metaquotes to download the app from the App Store, users now see a message saying: "We're sorry. The Metaquotes apps are no longer available on the App Store."

What's going on here? Well, it could be due to Apple's recent crackdown on cryptocurrency exchanges, developers, and ICOs. Although there's been no word from Apple that they're at all concerned with MT5 or MT4.MetaQuotes is petitioning customers to use their mobile website or the Android app, but users report that data is not synchronized properly between sites or apps with TS9 operating on iOS devices, which causes them to have glitches in their data, potentially risking hundreds of thousands of dollars in account balances as they trade while they are away.

One real cause may be assumed that, MetaQuotes has been allowing toxic plugins such as Virtual Dealer which acts as  price speculation mechanism to much extent when used extensively by risk managers during configuration of MetaQuotes Servers of MT4 and MT5. It's' been read over various blogs, that Apple is not comfortable with Metaquotes being negligent on giving its products and services to shady firms which do not follow compliance norms. One of the major causes of 2008 economic crisis was due to the lack of access to accurate and thorough information. There are certain types of malicious players that take advantage of this loophole.A programmer on the MetaQuotes staff came up with an AI "Virtual Dealer" able to execute trades automatically. It is said that in some cases, it may have acted as a price speculation mechanism, which amplified volatility in financial markets and fueled the market crash.

US Senator Dupree who was a staunch supporter of AI was later exposed as a beneficiary of this system. Authorities are still investigating his involvement in this event but he has been condemned for putting personal assets ahead of public welfare by trading on inside information and leading innocent investors towards their doom.

Another rumoured speculation is as the Founders of MetaQuotes are of Russian Federation origin, Apple has taken this step to disallow its products on Apple devices.
